Today as a B&B in Tarvisio it is time to talk about skiing and snow. We have therefore prepared a summary article with all the information that can be useful for a snow holiday in the Tarvisio area.
Tarvisio is the ski area of the region (with 859 square meters) and hosts the Women’s Alpine Ski World Cup every two years. It has two areas for skiing: that of Monte Lussari located in the old town and that of Monte Florianca. The two areas are connected by the four-seater chairlift “Prasnig” for a total of 33 km for alpine skiing. The most popular, beautiful and electrifying slope is certainly the “Di Prampero”. It offers skiers a difference in altitude of 1000 m, through a 4 km route that connects Lussari to the valley floor in correspondence with the town of Camporosso. The slope is illuminated for night skiing.
Also interesting are the Priesnig (black slope), the Florianca and the Alèe Limerza.
At the bottom of the valley there are Nordic ski slopes for a total of 60 km that offer different levels of difficulty.
In the Fusine plain there are 14 km available for cross-country skiers and mushers (sled dog races).
Snowboarders have access to the Gold Park snowpark located at the start of the Tarvisio del Duca D’Aosta facilities.
For the little ones, the snow playground is worth mentioning. It is located in the Angelo plain between Tarvisio and Camporosso and offers inflatable games and an area for bobsleighs and sleds.
Moving to Pontebba instead we find the ice stadium where it is possible to skate with rental skates and home to the Serie A hockey team “Aquile”.
